Google Analytics Academy ran an online course where you could watch a video and then complete a questionaire to then check how you went. At the end of completing the course you were presented with a certificate of completion. It was very helpful and I have saved all of the course notes for future reference. It is important to have a basic understanding of how anayltics work apart from setting up an account and applying the analytics ID to the webpage.
 
 
There is a lot of capabilities and having someone who specialises in this area to manage your ad words campaigns would be highly beneficial, it is fantastic that goolge has in house authorised representatives that can help you get the most out of your account.
